Summary:
The Inventory Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing the supply chain for our practice, ensuring seamless delivery of non-invasive patient care.
This multifaceted role encompasses overseeing supplies for patient exams, supporting both front and back-office needs, coordinating the availability of durable medical equipment (DME) and orthopedic supplies, maintaining office equipment supplies, and actively participating in supply-related initiatives and marketing efforts.
Primary Job
Responsibilities:
Efficiently order, receive, deliver, and stock supplies within prescribed timelines.
Accurately input receipt data into the inventory management system and distribute supplies to respective departments.
Conduct random quality assurance checks on incoming supplies.
Manage inventory levels across all locations, including continuous evaluation of minimum and maximum stock levels, daily storeroom reviews, and placement of orders as necessary.
Perform par level counts and adjust stock levels based on consumption.
Identify, isolate, and dispose of expired supplies in accordance with established guidelines.
Implement stock rotation to ensure the utilization of items before expiration.
Procure and maintain inventory for clinical and operating room-based DME.
Provide transport and delivery services for inventory items as required.
Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
Verify incoming orders against purchase orders for accuracy.
Effectively utilize the inventory management system.
Monitor and address backordered items by liaising with the CFO and suggesting alternative solutions based on urgency and availability.

Education/Certification/Licenses:
High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in medical inventory management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to work independently.
Contacts:
The Inventory Specialist interacts with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, vendors, and various professional contacts.
All communication should maintain a professional, courteous, and timely demeanor.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
