Must be able to pass a Criminal background check and drug screening.
This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list and may be added to based on the needs of the company.
Scrub and or mop floors and wash down plant processing areas, clean offices, windows, washrooms, toilets, and lavatories.
Dust office furniture, work with purchasing on replenishing supplies as needed.
Remove refuse.
Clean up chips and turnings, dispose of all items in accordance with procedure and other duties as assigned.
Perform a variety of unskilled jobs in and about the facility.
May assist plant maintenance personnel under the direct supervision of the maintenance manager such as changing out light bulbs, painting, and learning the trade of machine maintenance.
Maintain equipment, work areas and housekeeping standards.
Be vigilant to safety issues, concerns, and hazards.
Report and/or correct unsafe conditions immediately to prevent accidents and injuries.
Maintain records and documentation as applicable.
Summary of essential job functions Perform housekeeping/janitorial duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance and punctuality.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.
Minimum requirements Previous industrial housekeeping experience is preferable.
Must be able to work with employees from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Handy-man skills and the use of tools is desirable but not required.
Abilities required Standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, stooping, bending, and reaching are required.
Must be able to work in heat, cold, damp, and dry conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to speak English.
