This job can include work in different locations where you might need to travel during the day, or sometimes overnight.

Our fiber technicians does a variety of things, and we want to meet you to see where you would fit best, for a description, see below:
Micro-jetting (Mainline) Jet/blow mainline fiber cable in conduit between street- and node cabinets with a feeder-machine and air compressor.
Label conduits accordingly You have a trailer with fiber reels with you.
Every team will have a vehicle with the necessary materials and tools.
Team lead makes $25/hr
bonuses Laborer makes $18/hr Laborers will be able to work their way up to team leads as we are expanding often.
Customer-jetting (drops) Jet/blow customer fiber in conduit between from street cabinet to outside/service-boxes on customers houses.
You use a cable feeder and air compressor tool.
Fusion splice at customers house the fiber to a pigtail to connect to an adapter in the box.
Fusion splice at cabinet the customer fiber to the correct fiber according to an excel sheet.
Every team will have a van with the necessary materials and tools.
You have a trailer with fiber reels with you.

Fiber tech (or Fiber Splicer) Prepare mainline micro cable in cabinet Place cassettes Label everything (depending on the experience and/or learning, splicing will also be included) Start at $20/hr (Can work yourself up towards $25/hr) Field tech (troubleshoot) Visit customers to see that everything is turned on and correct If it's not working, troubleshoot boxes and cables to locate faults Fix the problem, or place ticket for more experienced fiber tech to fix it.
Start at $20/hr (Can work yourself up towards $25/hr as Senior Field Tech) Career opportunities Start of 2022 we were 3 employees, today we are over 60, end of 2024 we plan to be close to 180.
