Tooling Design Engineer
My client, a Tampa Bay, FL manufacturer is looking for a Tooling Design Engineer! If you are looking for the next step in your career and meet most of the below qualifications; please apply! BSME or equivalent experience 3-6 years of recent experience mechanical design of thermal molding processes and or die punch style tooling Proficient in high precision close tolerance tooling designs Experience in thermoforming PVC clamshell packaging a plus Proficient in SolidWorks 3D parametric modeling software and Microsoft Office products Proficient in the metric system of measurement Strong knowledge base of fabrication methods and processes with tool steels such as milling, grinding, electrostatic discharge machining, heat treating, plating and coatings with an understanding of cost impacts Experience in the selection of tool steels to be used in tooling designs Understanding of automated machinery and machine timing, actuator forces and similar mechanical engineering functions associated with tooling design Work in a fast paced collaborative team environment Ability to conceptualize, design and communicate technical information Professionally interface with engineering staff, purchasing group, shop personnel and outside vendors Innovative, resourceful and disciplined when resolving technical challenges Machining background preferred CNC CAM experience a plus This is a direct hire opportunity with an annual base salary of $50 to $60K
