Sr. Controls Engineer
Privately held OEM near Tampa that designs and manufactures automated packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a Sr. Controls Engineer.
Key
Responsibilities:
o Develop control system architecture for new packaging equipment.
o Troubleshoot mechanical and control systems for packaging equipment.
o Develop customized automation systems including hardware and software for packaging equipment.
o Design, implement, and support PLC and operator interface systems.
o Perform modifications to existing equipment in order to meet customer needs.
o Creation of electrical schematics, panel layouts, and supporting system documentation.
Required Skills:
o Programming experience including motion control, Rockwell Automation PLC control systems, and HMI's.
o Ability to manage projects required - coordinating with various departments within the company and customers.
o The ability to work with people in a team environment.
o Effective communication skills, verbal as well as written.
o Attention to detail is a must in order to thoroughly document all designs.
o Problem solving and troubleshooting.
Education and
Experience:
o BS Electrical Engineering.
o 3-5 years of related experience is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
